Records
Benny Andersson's contributions to music have been recognized with some of the highest honors. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010 as a member of ABBA. In 2024, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden knighted him with the Royal Order of the Polar Star. He holds honorary doctorates from the University of Stockholm (2008) and the University of Gothenburg (2013). The City of Stockholm awarded him the St. Erik's Medal in 2008, and he received the Swedish royal medal Litteris et Artibus in 2013. His songwriting partnership with Björn Ulvaeus was ranked #97 on Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time.
