Benjamin Moser

Benjamin Moser stands as a formidable figure in contemporary non-fiction, bridging the gap between academic rigor and popular storytelling. His 2020 Pulitzer Prize win for Sontag: Her Life and Work marked a historic moment, recognizing a biography that revitalized interest in Susan Sontag's philosophy and life. His earlier work on Clarice Lispector further cemented his reputation for bringing obscure or misunderstood figures back into the cultural conversation. The 2026 release of Anti-Zionism: A Jewish History demonstrated his willingness to engage with controversial and timely political topics, expanding his influence from literary biography to socio-political history.
