Beautiful Things

Benson Boone stepped into the spotlight with a voice that feels both raw and polished, delivering an anthem that captures the terrifying fragility of holding onto something precious. Released on January 18, 2024, Beautiful Things arrived as the lead single from his debut studio album, Fireworks & Rollerblades. The track blends soaring rock melodies with intimate pop sensibilities, creating a soundscape that feels massive yet deeply personal. Boone co-wrote the song alongside Jack LaFrantz and Evan Blair, who also handled production duties to ensure the emotional weight landed perfectly.

The song follows a dynamic structure that begins with quiet introspection before exploding into an anthemic chorus. This progression mirrors the lyrics where Boone pleads against losing the people he loves most. The track gained immediate traction on TikTok, propelling it to number one on the Billboard Global 200 and the Hot 100 in the United States. It also topped the UK Singles Chart and earned platinum certifications in the US, Australia, and Canada.

Critical reception highlighted the balance between vulnerability and explosive energy in Boone's vocal performance. The music video directed by Dave Meyers complements this narrative with cinematic visuals released shortly after the single drop. Beyond the studio version, the song became a staple for live performances, including a notable appearance at Coachella in 2025 where extended instrumental sections showcased the track's versatility.
