Barbara Kendall's Olympic career is remarkable for its consistency. She is the only New Zealand woman to compete in five Olympic Games, and she won a medal of each color across three different Games. Her gold in 1992 made her the first female Olympic champion in windsurfing, a historic first that paved the way for future generations. Kendall's longevity and ability to perform at the highest level for nearly two decades set her apart as one of the greatest sailors in Olympic history.
