Sheikh Baleela holds some of the highest honors in the Islamic world. As the Imam of Masjid al-Haram, he leads the largest congregation of worshippers in the world. His membership in the Council of Senior Scholars places him among the top religious authorities in Saudi Arabia. In February 2026, he was appointed as the Mufti for the Makkah Region, granting him judicial authority over religious rulings in the holy city.
