Honours
Bahlil Lahadalia does not collect trophies, but he collects mandates. Few Indonesian officials have held the investment, energy and party leadership roles at the same time, and in October 2026 he became the first person to lead the new Coordinating Ministry for Downstreaming and Energy Transition. His record is measured in deals and permits: the first Russian oil import agreement, a 150-million-barrel supply arrangement, the Rusal bauxite project in Kalimantan, and a 100 GW power plan worth roughly $73 billion. He has represented Indonesia at the World Economic Forum and Singapore International Energy Week, and business groups routinely treat his statements as the clearest signal of where resource policy is heading.
