Baby Bear

Baby Bear is the young member of the Three Bears fairy-tale family, based on the classic story 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears.' In the Shrek universe, he lives with his parents, Mama Bear and Papa Bear, in the fairy-tale world. When Lord Farquaad launches a campaign to round up and exile all fairy-tale creatures, the Bear family is captured and caged together. Baby Bear is shown clinging to his parents in fear. Later, Mama Bear is separated from the family and implied to have been killed and turned into a rug in Farquaad's castle. Baby Bear and Papa Bear are left grieving and become part of the community of exiled creatures living in Shrek's swamp. [edit]

Baby Bear is innocent, vulnerable, and deeply attached to his parents. He shows fear and distress when captured and sadness after losing his mother. He is a non-verbal character whose emotions are conveyed through expressive body language and reactions. [edit]
