Records
Hussein's Golden Boot at the 2023 AFC Asian Cup made him the first Iraqi to win that award since Younis Mahmoud in 2007. He is one of only a few Iraqis to have scored in an Asian Cup knockout stage. His six goals in that tournament equaled the highest tally by an Iraqi in a single edition. Domestically, he has won six Iraqi Premier League titles with Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, more than any other active player at the club. His hat-trick against Vietnam in March 2026 was his second in World Cup qualifying, underscoring his consistency on the international stage.
