Avi Gil

Avi Gil's career represents a pinnacle of service within the Israeli security apparatus. Reaching the rank of Aluf is a distinction achieved by only a select few, placing him among the most influential figures in the nation's defense planning. His nearly three-decade tenure working alongside Shimon Peres underscores his deep integration into the country's diplomatic core. His decision to publicly challenge the Prime Minister over the integrity of security records marks a unique moment of accountability in modern Israeli politics, distinguishing him as a figure willing to risk his standing for perceived national duty.
