As If It's Your Last

On June 22, 2017, Blackpink dropped "As If It's Your Last" as a standalone single through YG Entertainment. Written by Teddy Park, Brother Su, and Choice37, with production by Future Bounce, Teddy Park, and Lydia Paek, the track blends synth-pop, house, reggae, and moombahton. Its lyrics explore the thrill and anxiety of a fleeting romance, urging listeners to love as if there's no tomorrow.

The song made an immediate splash, topping the Billboard World Digital Songs chart and hitting number two on the K-pop Hot 100 and number three on the Gaon Digital Chart. It sold over 2.5 million digital copies and racked up 100 million streams in South Korea by 2018. In Japan, the Korean version earned a platinum streaming certification from the RIAJ, while the Japanese version went gold. Blackpink promoted the single with performances on music shows like Inkigayo and Show! Music Core, further solidifying their rising status in the K-pop scene.

The music video, directed by Seo Hyun-seung, became the first K-pop girl group video to reach 1 billion views on YouTube. It was later included as a bonus track on their first Korean studio album The Album (2020) and featured in the soundtrack for the 2018 film The Spy Who Dumped Me.[edit]
