Slot's managerial career, though relatively short, includes several notable achievements. He led Feyenoord to their first Eredivisie title in six years and a European final. At Liverpool, he became the first Dutch manager to win the Premier League, doing so in his debut season. He is one of only a handful of managers to win the Rinus Michels Award twice.

AwardsSlot won the Rinus Michels Award for Eredivisie Manager of the Year twice: in 2022 after leading Feyenoord to the UEFA Europa Conference League final, and in 2023 after winning the Eredivisie title. As a player, he won the Eerste Divisie twice, with FC Zwolle in 2002 and PEC Zwolle in 2012.
