Argyle

Argyle is a young, energetic limo driver who picks up NYPD detective John McClane at Los Angeles International Airport and drives him to the Nakatomi Plaza for a Christmas Eve party. He has recently been promoted from taxi driver and is eager to impress, immediately engaging McClane in friendly conversation and offering unsolicited advice about his strained marriage with Holly. After dropping McClane off, Argyle waits in the underground parking garage, listening to music (including Run-D.M.C.'s "Christmas in Hollis") and chatting on the car phone, largely oblivious to the hostage crisis unfolding upstairs.[edit]
