Antonio Tajani holds a unique place in Italian and European politics as the first Italian to serve as President of the European Parliament in over two decades. His tenure as Commissioner for Transport and Industry shaped key EU policies, including the Single European Sky and support for SMEs. He has been decorated with high honors from more than eight countries, reflecting his diplomatic contributions. In 2023, he assumed leadership of Forza Italia, one of Italy's major center-right parties, following the death of its founder Silvio Berlusconi.
