Records

Panenka's greatest honor is being named UEFA Golden Player of the Czech Republic in 2004, recognizing him as the country's finest footballer of the past 50 years. He was also ranked second in the Czech Footballer of the Century poll in 2000, behind Josef Masopust. A statue of him stands outside the Bohemians 1905 stadium, a permanent tribute to his iconic moment.

AwardsPanenka won the UEFA European Championship in 1976 with Czechoslovakia. Individually, he was named Czechoslovak Footballer of the Year in 1980. With Rapid Vienna, he won the Austrian Bundesliga twice (1982, 1983) and was a runner-up in the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1985.
