Anne Elizabeth Lintzenich Andrews represents a new archetype in American politics: the clinician-turned-legislator. Her 2026 Senate bid is defined by her medical credentials, her deep roots in South Carolina, and a fierce rivalry with the Graham family legacy. While her personal life remains private, her public career is marked by a clear mission to improve healthcare and family support systems. She has achieved the historic milestone of securing the Democratic nomination for a U.S. Senate seat in a state that has not elected a Democrat to the Senate since 1998. If elected, she will become the first woman ever to represent South Carolina in the U.S. Senate. This achievement marks a significant turning point in the state's political history.
