Raised in Brunswick, Georgia, Anna Marie Jernigan grew up watching professional wrestling on television, a common origin story for many American athletes who eventually enter the industry. Her early years were marked by a developing interest in sports and performance, though specific details about her schooling remain private. Like many future stars, she honed her physical discipline through local activities before committing fully to the grueling path of professional wrestling training.

After graduating from high school, Jernigan began her journey on the independent circuit. She trained under various coaches, learning the ropes of the business while building a reputation for her work ethic and natural talent. These early days involved traveling to small venues across the Southeast, performing for niche crowds, and refining the skills that would later catch the eye of major promoters. Her transition from an unknown trainee to a signed talent was a slow process built on countless hours in the gym and the ring.

The breakthrough moment arrived when she caught the attention of All Elite Wrestling scouts during her time on the indie scene. Her technical proficiency and athletic potential convinced the company to sign her, setting the stage for her rapid ascent into the national spotlight. This period marked the end of her underground career and the beginning of her life as a full-time star in one of the world's biggest wrestling organizations. [edit]
