Records
Kidjo has won five Grammy Awards, more than any other African woman. In 2023 she received the Polar Music Prize, often called the Nobel Prize of Music. She was the first Black African woman to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in 2024. Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2021. Her 2022 album Mother Nature won the Grammy for Best Global Music Album, cementing her status as a leading voice in world music.
