Andy Reid

Andrew Walter Reid arrived in Los Angeles on March 19, 1958, and eventually transformed into one of the most enduring figures in professional football. He currently serves as the head coach for the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League. Before taking charge in Kansas City, he spent fourteen years leading the Philadelphia Eagles from 1999 through 2012. During his tenure with the Eagles, he also held the title of executive vice president of football operations starting in 2001. His career stands out because he became the longest tenured coach in league history while winning 100 games with two different franchises. No other coach has appeared in four consecutive conference championships with two separate teams. Reid started his coaching journey with the Green Bay Packers as an offensive assistant between 1992 and 1998. That stint included a victory in Super Bowl XXXI. When he took over the Eagles in 1999, the team quickly became a regular playoff threat. Under his guidance, the franchise reached nine postseasons, secured six division titles, and played in five NFC Championship Games. This run included four straight appearances from 2001 to 2004 and a trip to Super Bowl XXXIX. The organization parted ways with him after the 2012 season ended without a playoff berth for the second year in a row. His move to the Chiefs in 2013 marked a turning point for both the coach and the struggling franchise. Over thirteen seasons in Kansas City, Reid guided the team to eleven playoff appearances and nine straight division titles. The squad reached seven consecutive AFC Championship Games and made five trips to the big game. They claimed three Super Bowl titles, including their first championship in fifty years during Super Bowl LIV. This era featured their first playoff win since 1993 and the first back-to-back division crowns in franchise history.[edit]
