Andy Ellis's career is defined by team success at the highest level. His four Super Rugby titles with the Crusaders put him in an elite group of players who dominated that competition in its golden era. Winning the 2011 Rugby World Cup with the All Blacks capped his career, as New Zealand finally claimed the Webb Ellis Cup after 24 years of near misses.Ellis's role in those teams was often understated but vital. As a scrum-half, he controlled the tempo of matches and executed game plans flawlessly. His ability to step up in big moments, such as the World Cup final, earned him the trust of coaches and teammates. His transition to coaching at Kobe Steelers is a testament to his deep understanding of the game.
