André Onana's career is filled with remarkable achievements that set him apart as one of Africa's finest goalkeepers. He was the first Cameroonian goalkeeper to reach a UEFA Champions League final, doing so with Inter Milan in 2023. His three Eredivisie titles with Ajax place him among the most decorated foreign players in Dutch football. Onana's consistency in big matches, particularly his penalty-saving heroics in the 2017 Europa League semi-final, have made him a fan favorite. He holds the record for most clean sheets in a single Eredivisie season for Ajax (19 in 2018-19). His leadership as captain of Cameroon since 2022 reflects his influence both on and off the pitch.
