America Ferrera stands as a trailblazer in Hollywood, becoming the first Latina woman to win the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. Her recognition extends beyond acting awards; she has been named to Time magazine's 100 most influential people list twice, in 2007 and 2024, and appeared on the BBC's 100 Women list in 2023. She received an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Southern California in 2022 and was honored with a key to the city of Los Angeles.
