Allie Katch

Allie Katch is an American professional wrestler known for her fearless, hard-hitting style in deathmatches and intergender bouts. Born Alison Woodard on February 16, 1994, in Yakima, Washington, she has become a cornerstone of Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), where her willingness to take extreme risks has earned her a cult following among hardcore fans. With over 430 career matches as of 2026, she has faced icons like Mickie James, Nick Gage, and Joey Janela, and has appeared in AEW, Impact Wrestling, and MLW. Katch is also a vocal advocate for women-run wrestling promotions, particularly Girl Fight, which she aims to expand. Standing 5 ft 6 in and weighing 185 lb, she is recognized as one of the top independent wrestlers of her generation.[edit]

Alison Woodard was born on February 16, 1994, and raised in Yakima, Washington. She developed a passion for wrestling at a young age and trained at George de la Isla's America's Academy of Pro Wrestling under his tutelage. She made her professional debut in July 2015 under the ring name Allie Kat, adopting a cat-themed gimmick that involved scratching, rubbing her belly, and other feline mannerisms. Her early years were spent on the Texas independent circuit, where she honed her skills in intergender matches and tag team competition. In a 2021 interview with Fightful, Katch explained her decision to evolve beyond the cat character: 'It makes me think more. You can't rest on your laurels. Yeah, alright I do the scratch thing, rub my belly thing, yada yada, one, two, let's go home. I was having fun as a cat, but I feel like I'm having more fun because I'm having to try harder.'[edit]

Katch's big break came in 2017 when she debuted in Game Changer Wrestling (GCW), a promotion that would become her home. In 2021, she dropped the cat gimmick entirely, changing her ring name from Allie Kat to Allie Katch and adopting a more serious, hard-hitting persona. That same year, she competed in the Jersey J-Cup tournament, and in 2022, she again entered the Jersey J-Cup and was handpicked by Jordynne Grace to face Masha Slamovich in a Monster's Ball match on Impact Wrestling. Grace said on WrestleZone: 'I was very happy for her to finally be getting something like that on such a grand stage.' Katch went on to appear in AEW, MLW, and Beyond Wrestling, earning praise from veterans like Mickie James, who told SEScoops: 'I really, really like Allie Katch, and I think that she's really presented herself and found her niche and her home there, which is GCW.' In 2025, she suffered a serious leg injury during a GCW match requiring surgery, but returned in 2026, main-eventing Freelance Wrestling's 12th anniversary show at Logan Square in Chicago and competing in GCW events like Effy's Big Gay Brunch 11, Joey Janela's Spring Break X, So Much Fun 2026, and The Coldest Winter 4. She also competed in the DREAMWAVE 'Good As Gold' 2025 battle royal on December 6, 2025. As of 2026, she has wrestled 439 documented matches, including 152 pay-per-view appearances.[edit]

Allie Katch is known for her deathmatch style, extreme risks, and willingness to take punishment, traits that have made her a cult favorite among hardcore wrestling fans. The Sportster called her 'undoubtedly one of the best of this generation of independent talent.' Her Instagram bio describes her as 'hot n funny pro wrestler' and 'BACK FROM A BROKEN LEG and ready to take over the world.' Her social media voice is playful and confident, and she is respected by peers like Mickie James and Jordynne Grace for her dedication and evolution beyond the cat gimmick. Katch's matches are often brutal, no-disqualification affairs, and she is a vocal advocate for intergender wrestling, saying Beyond Wrestling was 'the place that I feel like was very much at the forefront' of that style.[edit]

Allie Katch commands a dedicated following within the independent wrestling ecosystem, particularly among fans who prioritize technical resilience and hardcore spectacle over mainstream polish. Her audience is defined by a deep appreciation for her willingness to absorb extreme punishment in deathmatch settings, a trait that has cemented her status as a cornerstone of Game Changer Wrestling rather than just a guest performer. Unlike stars with organized armies or specific fan clubs, Katch's supporters are typically scattered across general promotion forums and social media threads, united by their admiration for her work ethic and her vocal advocacy for women-run promotions like Girl Fight. This organic base has grown through her consistent presence on platforms like Instagram, where she shares candid updates about injuries and bookings, fostering a connection based on shared passion for the craft rather than manufactured celebrity culture. Despite her high profile within niche circles and accolades from peers like Jordynne Grace, there is no formal name documenting her fanbase, nor are there records of large-scale, fan-funded projects such as billboards or charity drives bearing her name. While her career includes significant narrative arcs, such as her return from a broken leg after nearly ten months, these stories remain part of professional lore rather than viral folklore that has permeated the broader cultural consciousness. As of August 2026, the iFANN Global Fame Engine has evaluated Allie Katch, but she does not currently hold a placement in the published rankings for the Global Top 1,000 or any Top-100 scope list.[edit]

Katch has utilized four distinct ring names throughout her career: Allie Kat, Allie Katch, Stray Kat, and Allie Way. She has competed in 439 documented matches as of 2026, including 152 pay-per-view appearances. Notably, she was handpicked by Jordynne Grace for an Impact Wrestling appearance and trained under George de la Isla outside of a major wrestling school. Her tenure at Bar Wrestling and DDT Pro-Wrestling saw her competing under the moniker Stray Kat. A defining chapter of her recent legacy involves her dramatic return to the ring in October 2025 after being sidelined for nearly ten months due to a broken leg, a comeback described by Outsports as being 'rebuilt and rewired.' This narrative of resilience stands as a central pillar of her public persona, overshadowing traditional championship pursuits given her lack of major title wins or magazine covers. In July 2026, GCW founder Brett Lauderdale explicitly stated she is 'part of the foundation of GCW,' solidifying her historical importance to the organization. Fans often recall her high-stakes 'Loser Leaves GCW' match against Effy scheduled for Spring Break X in March 2026, which tested the limits of her commitment to the promotion. Beyond the ring, she remains a vocal advocate for women-led organizations, famously stating of Girl Fight that 'It's literally women's wrestling run by women. There's no man involved.'[edit]
