Jahanbakhsh's standout achievement is winning the Eredivisie golden boot in 2017–18, a feat no Asian player had accomplished before in a top European league. He also lifted the Eredivisie title with Feyenoord in 2022–23 and the KNVB Cup the following season. Internationally, he has represented Iran at four World Cups, a rare honor that places him among the country's most decorated footballers.
