Alfredo Gaspar

Gaspar's record is institutional rather than ceremonial. He served twice as Procurador-Geral de Justiça of Alagoas and twice as the state's secretary of public security, an unusual pairing of prosecutorial and operational roles. In Congress he became rapporteur of the CPMI do INSS, one of the more visible assignments available to a deputy, and in August 2026 he was named to a national ticket. His bios describe him as a four-time best federal deputy for Alagoas, a local ranking rather than a formal honor.
