Mitrović's greatest achievement is his record as Serbia's all-time leading scorer with 64 goals, surpassing the previous record held by Stjepan Bobek. He has earned over 100 caps, equaling Sava Milošević's appearance record, and has represented his country at two World Cups and a European Championship. His consistent scoring across multiple leagues, including the Premier League, has made him one of the most respected Serbian strikers of his generation.
