Without Warning

October 31, 2017 marked a shift in the trap landscape as 21 Savage and Offset joined forces with producer Metro Boomin for a collaborative studio album. The trio released Without Warning exclusively on Halloween night, wrapping thirteen tracks in dark, atmospheric production that leaned heavily into horrorcore aesthetics. Southside helped shape the sound alongside Metro Boomin, Bijan Amir, Cubeatz, and Dre Moon to craft a sonic palette defined by distorted 808s and eerie melodies.

The project debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 with approximately 82,000 equivalent album units in its first week. While guest appearances from Travis Scott on "Walk It Talk It" and Quavo on "Lemonade" provided moments of radio-friendly energy, the core record maintained a menacing edge throughout. Critics highlighted how well the artists meshed despite their different styles, noting the cinematic quality that made the album feel like a soundtrack to a thriller. [edit]
