Right Place, Wrong Person

RM returned to the solo spotlight on May 24, 2024, with Right Place, Wrong Person, a project that redefines his artistic boundaries. This second studio album arrives two years after his debut Indigo and expands the sonic palette beyond traditional K-pop limits. The eleven-track collection weaves together hip-hop, R&B, jazz, and alternative influences to explore themes of identity, displacement, and the search for belonging. Lush arrangements and introspective lyrics drive the narrative as RM navigates the feeling of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The production features a roster of international collaborators who add texture to the mix without diluting RM's Korean identity. British rapper Little Simz appears on "Domodachi," while Japanese producer Domi, American producer JD Beck, and singer-songwriter Moses Sumney contribute to the album's intricate sound. Commercially, the record topped the Billboard World Albums chart and entered the Billboard 200. Lead single "Come Back to Me" reached number 24 on the Billboard Global 200, followed by "Lost!" at number 68. The album earned Platinum certification from the Korea Music Content Association (KMCA) shortly after release. [edit]
