One Dance

On April 5, 2016, Drake released "One Dance" as the second single from his fourth studio album Views. The track brought together Nigerian afrobeats star Wizkid and British singer Kyla, whose 2008 UK funky song "Do You Mind" provided the sample. Produced by Nineteen85, 40, and DJ Maphorisa, the song blends dancehall, UK funky, and afrobeats into a warm, hypnotic groove.

The single became Drake's first number-one on the Billboard Hot 100 as a lead artist and spent 15 consecutive weeks atop the UK Singles Chart. It topped charts in over a dozen countries and helped push dancehall and Afro-influenced sounds into the mainstream. By October 2023, it earned a Diamond certification from the RIAA, signifying over 10 million units in the US.
