Let God Sort Em Out

Let God Sort Em Out is the fourth studio album by Clipse, self-released on July 11, 2025. It's their first album since Til the Casket Drops (2009), ending a 16-year gap. The duo, Pusha T and No Malice, reunited in 2019 and started recording in 2023. Pharrell Williams produced and executive produced every track, his first major project without Neptunes partner Chad Hugo. The guest list is stacked: Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Tyler, the Creator, John Legend, The-Dream, Ab-Liva, Stove God Cooks, and the choir Voices of Fire, with additional contributions from Lenny Kravitz and Stevie Wonder. The 13-track album runs 40 minutes and 47 seconds, weaving themes of street life, faith, and industry beef into a tight, confrontational statement.

The road to release was rocky. In 2023, Pharrell debuted a new Clipse song during Louis Vuitton's Spring-Summer 2024 show in Paris. Recording took place at the Louis Vuitton headquarters, plus studios in Virginia Beach, Miami, Philadelphia, Hollywood, the Bahamas, Atlanta, and New York. Originally slated for a 2024 release through Def Jam, the album was delayed when the label demanded Kendrick Lamar's verse on "Chains & Whips" be censored, citing fears of backlash from President Donald Trump. Pusha T claimed the real issue was his and Lamar's feuds with Drake, who had sued Universal over Lamar's diss "Not Like Us". Refusing to compromise, Clipse paid a seven-figure sum to exit their contract, signing a distribution deal with Roc Nation while giving Def Jam a cut of profits. The album's promotional press saw Pusha T openly criticizing Drake, Jim Jones, Kanye West, and Travis Scott.

Let God Sort Em Out earned widespread critical acclaim. Rolling Stone gave it 4 stars, The Guardian a perfect 5, and Stereogum called it "a statement of the highest order." SHIFTER Magazine named it Album of the Year for 2025. The album debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200, #1 on Independent Albums and Vinyl Albums, and #2 on Top Rap Albums, with 118,000 equivalent album units in its first week. The lone single "Ace Trumpets" dropped May 30, 2025, while "Chains & Whips" and "So Far Ahead" hit Apple Music the night before release. Music videos came out for "Chains & Whips" and "So Be It." Clipse supported the album with a tour alongside EarthGang from August to November 2025. At the 2026 Grammys, the album was nominated for Album of the Year. [edit]
