    About This Album

Drake and 21 Savage dropped Her Loss on November 4, 2022, marking their third joint project after a series of surprise collaborations. The album arrived under OVO Sound and Republic Records with a distinct shift toward darker, grittier production compared to Drake's recent dance-oriented work. Heavyweights like Metro Boomin, Boi-1da, Wheezy, Tay Keith, and Vinylz shaped the sound, creating an atmosphere built on ominous synths and heavy basslines that matched the rapid-fire delivery from both rappers.

The tracklist spans 16 songs and includes a single guest appearance from Travis Scott on "Major Distribution." While some critics felt the record leaned too heavily on repetitive themes of wealth and relationships, others highlighted the chemistry between the two artists as a standout element. This divide in reception did not stop the project from dominating charts globally, debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200 with 404,000 equivalent album units in its first week.
