About This Album
Released on September 24, 1982, Forever Now stands as the third studio album from The Psychedelic Furs. Columbia Records issued this ten-track record following a turbulent period where the band shrank from six members down to a quartet. Richard Butler, Tim Butler, Roger Morris, and Paul Webb recorded the sessions in spring 1982 with producer Todd Rundgren at the helm.
Rundgren introduced cello and marimba to the mix while recruiting backing vocalists Flo & Eddie to deepen the arrangements. This collaboration steered the group toward a polished new wave aesthetic without losing their signature moody atmosphere. The album features the hit single "Love My Way" alongside nine other tracks exploring themes of urban alienation and romantic tension.
