    About This Album

Released on November 18, 2022, Diamonds & Rhinestones: The Greatest Hits Collection gathers twenty-three essential tracks from Dolly Parton's vast catalog under RCA Records and Legacy Recordings. This compilation spans country and pop styles while highlighting her unique ability to blend humor with heartfelt storytelling. Listeners hear familiar favorites alongside specific moments from her film career, such as the upbeat anthem "9 to 5" from the 1980 movie of the same name and the melancholic "Tennessee Homesick Blues" from Rhinestone. The set also features the track "Red Shoes" from the Netflix film Dumplin', showcasing her continued relevance across decades.

Beyond solo work, the album emphasizes Parton's collaborative spirit through duets with Kenny Rogers, Loretta Lynn, and Tammy Wynette. It even reaches into modern electronic territory with a remix by the Swedish dance duo Galantis. Each song selection reflects her journey from rural roots to global stardom without relying on heavy nostalgia. The result is a tight, energetic listen that celebrates both classic country traditions and her willingness to experiment.
