Better Day

Dolly Parton returned with her forty-third solo studio album, Better Day, on June 28, 2011. Released through her own Dolly Records in partnership with Warner Music Nashville, the project marked a return to pure country sounds after years of crossover experiments. Produced alongside Kent Wells, the record features twelve tracks that blend traditional instrumentation with Parton's signature songwriting about faith and resilience.

The promotional campaign for the release included the Better Day World Tour, which ran 49 shows across North America, Europe, and Australia. This extensive schedule allowed fans to hear the new material live before it reached radio stations, fostering a strong connection between the artist and her audience. Critics praised the authentic production and Parton's vocal performance upon its arrival.

Commercially, the album debuted at number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and reached number four on the Billboard 200. It eventually earned a Gold certification from the RIAA for sales exceeding 500,000 copies in the United States.
