Al-Raed FC arrived in Buraidah during a time when professional football was just finding its footing in Saudi Arabia. Founded in 1954 by Abdulaziz Al-Aboudi and a group of local enthusiasts, the club became the first professional entity to represent the Qassim region. They built their identity on deep community roots rather than flashy spending, nurturing talent for decades before the modern league restructuring took hold.

The team calls King Abdullah Sport City Stadium home, where supporters create an electric atmosphere that reflects the city's pride. Later that month, a loss against Damac sealed their fate, marking the first-ever relegation from the Saudi Pro League.
