Records

Afif is the most decorated Qatari footballer in history. He is the only Qatari to win the Asian Footballer of the Year award, and he has done it twice. He is also one of the few players to win the AFC Asian Cup MVP award twice. His two Asian Cup titles and his record of 8 goals in the 2024 tournament place him among the greatest performers in the competition's history. He was named to the IFFHS AFC Man Team of the Decade for 2011–2020.
