Born Ahn Sol-bin on August 19, 1997, in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, she grew up in South Korea during a time when the entertainment industry was rapidly expanding. Like many aspiring idols, she entered the rigorous training system at a young age, joining Global H Media to prepare for a debut. The path was demanding, requiring years of vocal lessons, dance practice, and language training before she ever stepped onto a stage.

Her early days were spent honing her craft alongside future bandmates, often practicing late into the night under strict supervision. While specific details about her childhood friends or family members remain private, the discipline she developed during these formative years laid the foundation for her later success. By the time she was selected for the final lineup of Laboum, she had already mastered the skills needed to perform professionally.

The audition process was competitive, and only those who demonstrated exceptional talent and potential made the cut. Solbin's natural charisma and strong stage presence caught the attention of producers, leading to her selection as the group's maknae. This role required her to be energetic and supportive, qualities that would define her public persona for years to come. [edit]

The group released several successful albums including Charmy Point in 2015 and Summer Vibes in 2016, establishing themselves as a fresh voice in the K-pop scene.

While still active with the group, Solbin began exploring acting opportunities. Her debut in the web drama Solomon's Perjury (2016) marked the beginning of her dual career. She continued to expand her portfolio with supporting roles in various short-form content throughout 2017 and 2018. A major turning point came in 2020 when she landed a memorable role as Lee Mi-yeon in the hit Netflix series Backstreet Rookie.

In 2021, she delivered a critically acclaimed performance as Han Su-ah in the JTBC drama Idol: The Coup, which tackled serious themes of political corruption and artistic integrity. This role showcased her range beyond the idol image and solidified her reputation as a serious actress. Recent years have seen her continue to take on diverse roles, including a cameo in Oh My Ladylord (2022), while also participating in group activities and solo projects. [edit]
