Sumi Eno's web manga After God (アフターゴッド) unfolds in a Tokyo where gods have returned to a world that has largely forgotten them. The narrative centers on a young woman named Waka, whose life takes a turn when she encounters a being that claims to be a god. As these divine entities begin to manifest, they bring with them not only awe-inspiring wonders but also significant threats, compelling Waka and others to confront their deepest beliefs and the very nature of divinity.

The manga delves into themes of faith, sacrifice, and the often blurred lines between the sacred and the monstrous. Eno's artistic style is characterized by a distinctive blend of detailed character renderings and expansive, surreal cityscapes, which contribute to an atmosphere that is simultaneously intimate and apocalyptic.
