Thirty years after deities descended upon the Earth, Tokyo lies in ruins within zones marked as dangerous. Waka, an eighteen-year-old girl, dedicates her life to hunting these gods down. She joins forces with Sachiyuki, a researcher seeking a method to slay the divine entities that have turned humanity's world into a shattered landscape. Their journey exposes the psychological toll of living among monsters that blur the line between sacred and profane.

The narrative introduces Tokinaga, a character whose ability to protect others comes at a severe personal cost. This dynamic adds layers of tragedy to the story as characters navigate a society defined by survival and despair.
