Afro-Mari has accumulated an impressive collection of honors that reflect her impact on both Swedish and international music. She is the first Swedish hip-hop artist to win a BET Award, taking Best International Act in 2025. Her album Global Citizen earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Album, a first for a Swedish female rapper. She has won two Grammis awards, including Album of the Year, and two MTV Europe Music Awards. In 2024, she received the Stockholm City Cultural Award and was granted the Key to the City of Stockholm in 2025. She also received an honorary doctorate from Stockholm University for her cultural contributions. These achievements place her among the most decorated Swedish artists of her generation.
