Overview
Six years after Ace of Diamond Act II ended, the series returns with a new season that picks up the story of Seido High's baseball team. The premiere on April 5, 2026, on TV Tokyo marked the end of a long hiatus that had fans wondering if they would ever see Eijun Sawamura pitch again. The voice cast returns with Ryota Osaka as Sawamura, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Satoru Furuya, and Takahiro Sakurai as Kazuya Miyuki. Kenji Konuta continues as series composer, and Hajime Hyakkoku returns to compose the score. The opening theme is "Let's Go Crazy" by Baby Canta, and the ending theme is "Number" by SUPER★DRAGON. Crunchyroll streams the series in select territories, while Muse Asia handles distribution in Asian markets.

Eijun Sawamura enters his second year at Seido High with a singular goal: become the undisputed ace of the pitching staff and lead the team to victory at Koshien Stadium. The left-handed pitcher has spent years developing his unique style, a high-leg-kick delivery that generates deceptive movement on his fastball and a growing arsenal of breaking pitches. His primary competition within the team is Satoru Furuya, a right-handed flamethrower whose raw power contrasts with Sawamura's craftiness. Together they form a dual ace system, each pushing the other to improve while vying for the coveted number one jersey.
The season opens with the team rebuilding after the graduation of several key third-year players. New first-year recruits arrive, eager to prove themselves worthy of the first string. Kazuya Miyuki, now the team captain, must manage the pitching staff while also handling his own responsibilities as the cleanup hitter and defensive anchor behind the plate. The early episodes focus on practice matches designed to test the new lineup and establish chemistry among the players. These games allow side characters to step into the spotlight, showing the depth of Seido's roster and the personal stakes each player carries.
The central conflict revolves around the Summer Tournament, the single-elimination competition that determines which team represents Tokyo at Koshien. For the third-year players, this is their last chance to achieve their dreams before graduation. The pressure mounts as the team faces off against rival schools, each with their own star players and unique strategies. Seido's path is never easy, they must overcome not only their opponents but also internal doubts and injuries. The series explores themes of perseverance, teamwork, and the bittersweet nature of high school sports, where every game could be someone's last.
Throughout the season, Sawamura continues to refine his pitching. He works on mastering a new pitch, the changeup, to complement his fastball and cutter. His growth is measured not just in strikeouts but in his ability to stay calm under pressure and lead the defense. Furuya, meanwhile, struggles with consistency, his overpowering stuff sometimes working against him when he overthinks. Miyuki must find the right balance between pushing his pitchers and protecting them from burnout. The season builds toward the critical tournament games, where every at-bat matters and the margin for error is razor-thin.
