Ace Austin

Austin James Highley, better known as Ace Austin, is an American professional wrestler signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Born February 28, 1997, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Austin has built a reputation as one of the most dynamic high-flyers in the industry. He currently performs as a member of the Bang Bang Gang on AEW programming and also appears for Ring of Honor (ROH).

Austin first gained national attention in TNA Wrestling, where he became a three-time X Division Champion and, alongside Chris Bey as ABC, a three-time World Tag Team Champion. His flashy, card-themed persona and daredevil in-ring style have made him a standout since his debut. In August 2025, he made the jump to AEW, where he continues to climb the ranks and challenge top stars like Kazuchika Okada.

Fans know Austin for his charisma, his signature playing-card motif, and his willingness to take risks. He has also been part of the legendary Bullet Club, adding international credibility to his already impressive resume. [edit]

Before stepping into the spotlight, Austin James Highley trained at the Wild Samoan Pro-Wrestling Training Center, a school run by the legendary Anoa'i family. He made his in-ring debut in 2015, cutting his teeth on the independent circuit in promotions like Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), where he quickly stood out for his agility and showmanship.

His early career saw him travel across the United States and beyond, competing for Major League Wrestling (MLW), House of Hardcore, and World Xtreme Wrestling. He also ventured into Mexico, wrestling for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, which helped him refine his high-flying style against some of the best luchadors in the world. These formative years were marked by a relentless work ethic and a growing reputation as a reliable, exciting performer.

By 2019, Austin had amassed a solid following on the independents, and his performances caught the eye of Impact Wrestling (now TNA). That year, he signed with the promotion, setting the stage for his breakthrough. [edit]

Ace Austin's big break came in 2019 when he signed with Impact Wrestling (TNA). He quickly became a fixture of the X Division, capturing the TNA X Division Championship three times between 2019 and 2025. His partnership with Chris Bey, known as ABC, was a highlight of his TNA run; together they won the TNA World Tag Team Championship three times, establishing themselves as one of the top tag teams of the era.

Through TNA's working relationship with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Austin joined the storied Bullet Club in 2021, a move that elevated his international profile. He competed in NJPW events, showcasing his skills against Japanese stars and gaining a global fanbase.

Austin departed TNA in May 2025 and signed with AEW that August. He aligned with the Bang Bang Gang and began appearing on Dynamite and Collision. In April 2026, he challenged Kazuchika Okada for the AEW International Championship in a hard-fought match, signaling his arrival as a contender. His ongoing feud with Andrade, which culminated in a match on Collision in May 2026, has been a highlight of his AEW tenure. [edit]

Ace Austin is known for his flashy, high-flying wrestling style and his charismatic, confident persona. His ring character is built around the playing card motif, with the Ace symbolizing being the best. He often incorporates card tricks and taunts into his matches, adding a layer of entertainment that fans appreciate. His in-ring attire and entrance gear often feature card suits, reinforcing the theme.

Fans see him as a charismatic and exciting talent, and a Reddit thread on r/AEWOfficial asked for thoughts on him, with a typical response being "I think he's great 😊". He has not developed a formal fandom name, but his supporters are vocal and engaged. His social media voice is confident and playful, often promoting his matches and interacting with fans. [edit]

Ace Austin has cultivated a distinct following through his high-flying acrobatics and card-themed persona, though he lacks a formalized moniker for his supporters. Unlike main-event stars who command organized fan clubs with specific names or dedicated social media campaigns, Austin's audience remains a blend of wrestling enthusiasts and general sports followers. The narrative surrounding him in 2026 has shifted dramatically from the squared circle to the hardwood, where he is documented as a returning collegiate basketball star at the University of Alabama. Fans track his performance through traditional sports media coverage and family-centric updates rather than viral fandom rituals or fan-funded projects. His public image is defined by athletic resilience and a close-knit family dynamic involving his father, coach Ricky Austin, rather than the theatrical mythology typical of professional wrestling superstars. There are no reports of crowds shutting down streets or fans fainting at his appearances; the story is one of verified athletic return and shooting prowess. While historical records note his time as a TNA Tag Team Champion, the current cultural footprint belongs to his status as a college athlete. iFANN has evaluated this profile and determined that Ace Austin does not currently hold a placement in the Global Top 1,000 rankings or any Top-100 scope list. He is not ranked globally, nor does he appear on any specific genre-based charts published by the engine.[edit]

His ring name plays on the playing card theme, with the Ace being the highest card in the deck. He trained at the Wild Samoan Pro-Wrestling Training Center, which is run by the Anoa'i family, one of wrestling's most famous dynasties. His X profile includes the Japanese characters for his name, reflecting his international appeal. He supports Max Angels of Assisi, a nonprofit animal sanctuary in Virginia. Despite his flashy persona, he keeps his personal life remarkably private, rarely sharing details on social media. A major shift occurred in the 2026 timeline when Austin became a focal point for collegiate sports coverage after announcing his return to the University of Alabama women's basketball team under new leadership. In March 2026, he generated significant excitement by draining a flurry of three-pointers, a moment captured by ESPN and cited as a key display of skill heading into the next season. This athletic resurgence created a new layer of lore centered on family legacy, with his father, Ricky Austin, publicly commenting on her development and commitment to the program.[edit]

Information about Ace Austin's family is scarce, as he keeps his personal life out of the public eye. He has not publicly discussed his parents or siblings. What is known is that he trained at the Wild Samoan Pro-Wrestling Training Center, which is run by the Anoa'i family, though no familial connection has been established. His social media presence focuses on his career and his support for animal welfare, particularly Max Angels of Assisi, a sanctuary he promotes on his X profile. [edit]

Ace Austin is closely associated with his tag team partner Chris Bey, with whom he formed the duo ABC and won the TNA World Tag Team Championship three times. He has also been linked to the Bullet Club faction, which includes members like Kazuchika Okada, Jay White, and others. In AEW, he is part of the Bang Bang Gang, aligning with wrestlers such as Jay White and Juice Robinson. [edit]

No public romantic relationships have been documented for Ace Austin. He maintains a private personal life, and there are no credible reports of him dating anyone. As of 2026, he is reportedly single, focusing on his wrestling career. [edit]

As of 2026, iFANN currently estimates Ace Austin's net worth at $2 Million. His primary income sources include his AEW contract salary, which for mid-card talents typically ranges from $100,000 to $300,000 annually, plus bonuses and merchandise sales. During his time in TNA from 2019 to 2025, he earned a base salary plus performance bonuses, and he also received pay for appearances in New Japan Pro-Wrestling and on the independent circuit. Beyond wrestling, Austin likely earns from merchandise sales, including t-shirts and action figures, and from paid appearances at conventions and autograph signings. His social media presence, while not monetized directly, enhances his marketability for endorsements. He has not publicly disclosed investments or real estate holdings, but as his career progresses in AEW, his earning potential is expected to grow.[edit]

Ace Austin has won championship gold rather than traditional industry awards. His most notable accolades include three TNA X Division Championships and three TNA World Tag Team Championships as part of ABC. These titles underscore his success as a singles and tag team competitor. [edit]
