Abomination

Emil Blonsky was born in Yugoslavia, a ruthless and ambitious KGB operative who rose through the ranks by eliminating targets with cold precision. His assignment to infiltrate a U.S. military base brought him into contact with Dr. Bruce Banner, the man who transforms into the Hulk. Obsessed with surpassing the Hulk's power, Blonsky stole a gamma bomb and detonated it near himself, bathing in lethal radiation. The explosion transformed him instantly into the Abomination, a monstrous creature with scaly, fish-like skin, pointed ears, and glowing green eyes. Unlike Banner, Blonsky could not revert to human form, and his first act was to track down and attack the Hulk, beginning a decades-long feud.[edit]

He was later resurrected by the cosmic entity the Stranger and continued his vendetta. In Al Ewing's The Immortal Hulk (2018-2021), Blonsky was radically redefined: gamma radiation connected him to a hellish Below-Place, and he became a tragic host for the devil-like One Below All. Forced to serve an evil entity, he ultimately sacrificed himself to help the Hulk defeat it, a rare act of heroism. In the MCU, Blonsky debuted in The Incredible Hulk (2008) as a British Royal Marine who volunteers for a super-soldier program and later injects himself with Banner's blood, becoming the Abomination. He was captured and imprisoned.
