A Great Chaos

Ken Carson's third studio album, A Great Chaos, dropped on October 13, 2023, via Opium and Interscope Records. The 18-track rage album pushes maximalist production to its limits, with glitchy, digitized beats and a hedonistic attitude that occasionally cracks to reveal vulnerability and angst. Producers like F1lthy, Lil 88, Star Boy, Outtatown, and TM88 craft a cluttered, aggressive soundscape, while guest spots from Destroy Lonely and Lil Uzi Vert add texture. Horror references and a relentless energy define the album, which Carson called a reflection of his chaotic lifestyle.

The album's lead single, "I Need U," arrived on Valentine's Day 2023. A deluxe edition with seven bonus tracks followed on July 5, 2024, preceded by the single "Overseas." Critics praised A Great Chaos as Carson's breakout, with its appeal and production earning acclaim. It debuted at number 11 on the US Billboard 200 with 48,000 album-equivalent units, marking Carson's first top 20 entry. The album also charted well in Canada and Europe, and earned a Platinum certification from the RIAA in August 2025. Carson supported the album with the Chaos Tour across Europe and the US from July to November 2024. By April 2025, it had accumulated 1.3 million album-equivalent units worldwide.[edit]
