Dunkirk 2017 Farrier ending

by Capucine · old hollywood: Dunkirk

What Farrier pulls off at the close of DUNKIRK (2017) doesn't get talked about enough. His Spitfire is out of fuel, he's still in combat operations, and he's helping the evacuation succeed. Then he torches the aircraft himself so it can't be taken by the enemy. That whole ending deserves more appreciation.
