Ernie Johnson made it clear he's stepping away from his role on Inside the NBA and won't take the heat for ending the show. He hopes others can carry the torch, but when it comes to Chuck, Matt, you never try to predict what the Chuckster is going to do. The final word on that stays with him.

I have no idea, and I don't want you to, I don't want to be blamed for ending inside the NBA. I've just, in my role, I'm stepping away from my role on there. I would hope that they could continue the show in some form, and there are plenty of great, you know, studio hosts out there who could do what I do. And as for what Chuck's going to do, I have learned many, many moons ago, Matt, you never try to predict what the Chuckster is going to do. But he and I have had a lot of conversations in the past about what we're going to do. So I will leave that final word up to him.
