Scott Jennings CNN panel on trans military ban
Scott Jennings asking Jamel Hill whether the Commander-in-Chief should recruit people Hill himself calls vulnerable is the exchange worth sitting with. Hill's line before it was that failing to shield the most vulnerable leaves everyone worse off. That happened on CNN, with Jennings arguing the President gets to set who is eligible to serve. Earlier, a group of three women plus a transgender person physically approached the two male panelists in the studio, described as an attempt to make the case for transgender inclusion in the U.S. Army. Jennings held his ground and the panel fell apart around him. My read: winning wars is the whole point of the Army, not building some welcoming social experiment, and pretending otherwise is just noise.
