Mullin on Mamdani and sanctuary policies

    by Flint: Zohran Mamdani

Mamdani should step down. That's the call at the end of this, and the case leading there runs through DHS Sec. Markwayne Mullin's takedown of sanctuary politics in NYC and elsewhere. Mullin's point: mayors who run interference for people in the country illegally are effectively manufacturing more crime. His reasoning is that anyone who crossed illegally is also employed illegally, which means a legal company paying state and federal taxes can't be hiring them without fraud entering the picture. Housing is the same story. You don't rent a place without somebody's stolen ID if you're here illegally, per Mullin, and that opens the door to abuse. So the ledger isn't clean. Identity theft. Tax fraud. Social Security numbers lifted from people who earned them. Wages pushed down for American workers. None of it victimless, whatever the sugar coating says. Fox News carried the exchange.

And you have these sanctuary policies that it doesn't help. It's not humane. What it creates is a melting pot for criminal activity. You see that. And so these sanctuary policies, these sanctuary politicians like Mayor Mondami, all they do is create more criminal activity that follows because every single illegal that entered the country illegally is also working in the country illegal. And so it creates fraud. It It creates abuse. You cannot get a house and rent a house unless you have stolen someone's ID if you're in this country illegally. You cannot work for a company that's a legal company that's legally paying state and federal taxes unless you created fraud. Unless you're doing it under the table, too. That's right. I've got a number of things I want to get to. I don't have much time. We reach out to five DAs in the boroughs here in New York. We just heard back from one. This is Richmond County. That is Staten Island. Michael McMahon says...
