Ferretti Group Florida controversy
Florida's 2023 law restricting certain Chinese entities and their subsidiaries from owning real estate is the reason questions are flying about Ferretti Group of America. The company, owned by Weichai Group, holds property at 1445 SE 16th St. in Fort Lauderdale right near Port Everglades and the U.S. Coast Guard Station Fort Lauderdale. Reporter Frank_Kopylov1 confronted staff there after learning about Chinese Communist STATE-OWNED backers and was immediately removed from the luxury yacht company location. He asked why Floridians should trust a CHINESE-STATE controlled company owning property near our Coast Guard stations. Staff allegedly tried to obstruct camera recording while he noted that CLEARLY you guys are hiding something, you're kicking me out. The confrontation happened because the entity's ownership structure raised concerns regarding compliance with the state law.
