Msituni giraffe orthopedic braces
At 178 cm, Msituni was already a tall newborn at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, but a front leg deformity kept her from standing to feed, and that made her survival a real question. The zoo brought in Ara Mirzaian, a renowned human orthotist, who dug deep into giraffe anatomy, studying it intensively day and night. What he came up with were bespoke orthopedic braces that fixed her posture and, in the end, saved her life ❤️❤️
