Metacognition and the pause before answering
by Katrina Karan: Self-Improvement
Metacognition is the pause before the answer | the act of thinking about your own thinking, noticing what you know and shifting when the evidence moves. Ask yourself what do i actually know? That question does more work than most replies ever will. Quick comebacks don't guarantee accuracy, and loud confidence doesn't guarantee knowledge. In a feed full of instant opinions and fast takes and public certainty, the skill worth having is being able to question your own reasoning instead of just defending it | the fastest person in the room isn't automatically the sharpest one there
