This tiny gadget could save millions of lives. The new Millie Spinner is a device that is built to clear clogged blood vessels in an effective way, and it does it reliably. Funny enough, it all started with a small mistake by a new researcher, because older tools only use suction, so they couldn't pull out big blood clots very well. But when one researcher accidentally spun the device, it created an unexpectedly powerful suction. With that discovery, the Millie Spinner made a huge difference, raising the success rate of standard treatments from about 50% to around 90%.
